In traditional Chinese medicine, pu-erh tea is considered to free the meridians, ‘warming the middle burner’ (stomach & spleen) and be beneficial to ‘blood cleansing’, digestion and detox. For these reasons, it is often consumed after heavy meals or consumed as a hangover aid.
Studies have revealed that pu-erh may lower cholesterol, blood pressure and increase metabolism. Pu-erh is occasionally known as a ‘diet tea,’ but like all teas, we don’t recommend consuming it as a miraculous weight loss supplement, but rather as an enjoyable part of a healthy diet.

TASTE
Deep and earthy, with light notes of smoke and wood.
AROMA
A woodsy fragrance of moist soil, tree bark, and autumnal leaves.
BREWING METHOD
Scoop approximately 1-2 grams of the loose tea per pot (500-1000 milliliters) of hot water and steep for 3–10 minutes. The longer the steep, the stronger the taste.
